Those who cannot update Drive for desktop can contact their admin. Is there any way to force the old versions to update to the newer one? I tried rerunning the installing, but it reports we are already running the latest version (which we are not). Google gives users who can download and install the updated version the option to do soor postpone the update. I checked and this one is running version 49.0.8.0, and the other computers have 48.0.13.0 installed. I installed Google Drive for Desktop on one of our systems yesterday and it was working great, so I decided to install it on the others. A new update to how Google Drive functions are coming to Beta soon. We've been using Google Backup & Sync for a little while and it's not great, so the news earlier this year about transition to Google Drive for Desktop was welcome news.
