So the good news is that the movie is in Auro 13.1 (the last one I bought, The Game with Michael Douglas was also 13.1) with the aforementioned 7.1 base track. Short Review of Honest Thief in Auro-3D 13.1 There's a certain irony in that the movie advertises "5.1 DTS" on the back when the Auro-3D track has a 7.1 DTS-HD MA base track (because it's Auro 13.1). In this case, it's the 7.1 DTS-HD MA track not the 5.1 version (which is the regular 5.1 soundtrack). Generally speaking, they're wrapped in the DTS-HD MA tracks, usually the 2nd track on the disc. Anyways, this is a long post to my question of AI enchanced working if you are outputting 1080P from Shield or does it only work if you are outputting 4K from Shield and watching 1080P content.Click to expand.I've never tried burning any, just dumping and playing with KODI. I might be leaning to leaving it at 1080P DV as I sit 9ft away from my 65" Oled and to tell you the truth I don't know that I can see much difference in streaming content from Netflix, Prime or Disney compared to 4K and DV works fine in 1080P. When I switch to 1080P DV 60Hz everything runs great never a hitch and The Crown doesn't have to use Ratesync (or so it seems as the screen doesn't do any resyncing that I can see). I have to use the Ratesync app if watching The Crown on Netflix which fixes the frame jump (proper term?) the odd time I find a small glitch once in a while when watching a movie in DV. Does AI-enhancement only work when you have the Shield set to output 4K and you are watching 1080P? or does it upscale 1080P if you are outputting 1080P from the Shield. They don't recommend as they say it can cause things to be laggy and to only enable when needed. so in settings I can choose DV only at 23.97. I have an older LG Oled 65EP so DV is capped at 30Hz. Just bought a Shield TV (tube version) for streaming.
